Hi All,

Just to echo others points the population decline criterion of the IUCN Red List is a decline of more than 30% in ten years or three generations. You can look up every bird species on the planet on the Birdlife International website datazone section to see rough populations size and other data including their IUCN Red list status. As an example here's the one for Rusty Blackbird - a bird that does appear to actually be declining: http://www.birdlife.org/datazone/species/index.html?action=SpcHTMDetails.asp&sid=9745&m=0
