[CT Birds] Perfect duplicate birds - more than Meadowlarks

How does anyone keep these all apart, except by habitat, and by sound,
and by activity:

Eastern & Western Meadowlark
Greater & Lesser Black Backed Gull
The Scaups
Greater & Lesser Yellowlegs
Canada & Cackling Goose
Epidinax Flycatchers

Are we to assume everyone is that perfect a birder at 100 yards, and
great hearing, and definative activity observance? I am always
shocked at what people can report. Wish I was that good. Still love
to see reports from the "bionic eyes & ears" birders.
