3/25-Westport-Aspetuck Land Trust Haskins Preserve on Green Acre Lane

 

          Six breeding adult Great Egrets preening in the middle of the pond on a log (on your left as you enter the preserve),with no wind,the water was a mirror and reflected their images in the afternoon sun-WOW!A bonus of two Eastern Phoebe feeding at the pond's edge capped off my first visit in spring!
