[CT Birds] Osprey platform removal

It would be illegal to disturb nesting Ospreys by removing/replacing the platform during their breeding cycle.  If the platform is a permitted structure through DEP, then it is likely that a permit would be needed to remove or replace it.  An unpermitted structure in the coastal zone is likely not protected by law.
