Since the cutting down of the phragmites, there have been many tidepools opened up to the birds. It has become a popular feeding ground. After the tide comes in, I am seeing as many as 8 Glossy Ibis and 8 Great Egrets in addition to Snowy Egret, Green Heron, Yellow-Crowned Night Herons and assorted shore birds. The area is behind the Animal Control building. You can stand by the flood control gates and look upstream.
