Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, Milford     10AM-1PM
sunny, 70  mid-tide rising.
The female osprey was on the nest feeding the juveniles at  10AM,;male was 
on the perch.  At 10:40AM lots of squawking from the  parents, when a third 
osprey was circling overhead.  As the third osprey  got closer, the male 
left the perch to chase it away.  This was repeated  at  11:20AM.
There was lots of wing flapping and hopping up & down by 2  of the 3 
juveniles.  All 3 juveniles are quite large.
Other birds seen from marsh windows include: red winged  blackbirds, common 
grackles, starlings, house sparrows, robins,mourning doves,  tree swallows; 
  12 mute swans, 3 Great egrets, 2 snowy egrets, 
4 Canada geese (2 Adults & 2 juveniles),  1  cormorant(not sure which 
kind), 
1 pair of mallards.  3 Purple Martins at the martin condo  off of parking 
lot.
