Cornwall, Housatonic Meadows State Park, rt. 7, first entrance after junction with rt 4.

I was there between about 7 and 8 p.m. today and happened onto a varied group of birds feeding near the river: several kingbirds, phoebe, pewee singing downstream, cedar waxwing, black and white warbler, yellow warbler, pr. of redstarts, m. scarlet tanager with an orange cast, white-breasted nuthatch, downy wp, chipping sparrow.
