Hi Folks

New Moon was last night, today low tide was -0.7 ft. and high tide  
was 7.5 ft.  one of the larger tide differentials. At Low tide the  
flats at Short Beach went almost to the end of the Breakwater. The  
weather was hazy and an east wind. Not much activity off shore,  
rather boring.

Stratford, Short Beach 6:30 to 8:30

Canada Goose	4
Mute Swan	2
Mallard	1
Double-crested Cormorant	27
Great Egret	13
Snowy Egret	52
Black-crowned Night-Heron	22
Sanderling	14
Semipalmated Sandpiper	250
Short-billed Dowitcher	100	20 on flats, 80 flyby
Laughing Gull	29
Ring-billed Gull	252	the birds were all over the flats. as the tide  
came in they moved to the beach to roost.

Great Black-backed Gull	10
Common Tern	48

Milford, Milford Pt. 11:00 to 1:30 By an hour before high tide all  
the bars were covered except for the nesting bar. Nothing unusual the  
Semipalmated Sandpiper count was about 600
