Nice morning today at Penfield Reef. No people or fishermen, which is rare. Many ring billed, herring, and great black backed gulls, as well as one laughing gull. Many common terns, and ruddy turnstones in beautiful breeding plumage. Also lots of Sanderlings and Semipalmated sandpipers and plovers, as well as two Least Sandpipers. The coolest thing were 9 osprey all circling and diving for fish at the same time in one area. Two were succesfull and got huge fish in their talons. Nice close up looks at them doing this through my binocs.
