Cemetery Pond, 5:15 - 6:15 p.m.) - 1 immature Black-crowned Night-Heron
(rare this far inland), 2 Marsh Wrens; Also, 1 Great Blue Heron, 1 Green
Heron, 29 Wood Ducks, 1 Belted Kingfisher, 4 Chimney Swifts

8/17/2009 - Litchfield, S. Lake St. (White Memorial Foundation's Little Pond
Boardwalk, 6:20 - 8:20 p.m.) - 15 Virginia Rails (including 13 juveniles or
fledglings), 1 Alder Flycatcher, 27 Marsh Wrens (including 18 fledglings), 9
Bobolinks roosting in Cattails; Also, 1 Great Blue Heron, 1 Green Heron, 10
Wood Ducks, 2 American Black Ducks, 5 Killdeer, 12 Least Sandpipers, 2 Bank
Swallows, 80 Barn Swallows
