Out for a late morning here in Washington, CT today (Monday, 31 Aug 2009). Saw at least 20 cedar waxwings just before South St meets Nichols Hill Rd, going south on South St. Amazing to see the waxwings, both adults and young birds,  furiously feeding away on berries. Where the food is is where the waxwings are. Also noted several scarlet tanagers on my walk. Good numbers of eastern phoebes still around too.
