[CT Birds] hummingbirds

We had a female hummer using our feeder, phlox and honey suckle flowers off and on yesterday afternoon (Sep. 15). Her tameness suggested she may be one that raised a brood here this year. However, competition at the feeder from aggressive yellow jacket wasps were obviously a big aggravation to her which has not been the case most of this summer.

We still had one coming regularly yesterday (9/14 Stamford) but the sugar water is definitely taking longer to drain so I expect that a portion of them left already.  We were seeing 4-5 individuals coming and going continuously through the day but now I only get them a couple times a day.
