[CT Birds] Stratford Bald Eagle and insect question

Brian, Maybe you are seeing some ichneumonid wasp, like Megarhyssa?  They can be all black and have a long ovipositor that may appear like an extremely slender abdomen. They also seem quite active this time of year.
