Southport Survey # 194
Off shore there were scattered Laughing Gulls and occasional Great
Black-backed Gulls. The Hooded Merganser was seen again, fishing in
the mouth of Sasco Creek. It is an immature bird and seems to have
taken up residence. Last time I thought 6 Oystercatchers was a lot.
Today there was a flock of 15 flying about Sunken Island! Again, the
Killdeer were on the Golf Course and the Semipalmated Plover on the
flat in the harbor.
