I see there were some negative reports on the Lark Sparrow. I had the bird on 10/1, near the amphitheater behind the nature center.

A reminder that the Stratford Bird Festival kicks off with a bird walk this evening. The bulk of the activities are on Saturday and there are also some public bird walks on Sunday. For more details, please see:

Tomorrow's activities include bird walks, talks on bird conservation, bird banding (weather permitting), an American Kestrel from the Sharon Audubon Center, a shorebird ID seminar from the Connecticut Audubon Society, bird carving displays, including some historic Shang Wheeler decoys and a raptor presentation from Wing Over Wings.
