During a break in the rain this afternoon I took a walk around the fields by Lot W at UConn.  The highlights were a dickcissel (different from the male that Steve Morytko had a couple of days ago) and a late yellow warbler.  There were lots of sparrows, especially Savannah (80+) and chipping (30+), plus 2 fields and a Lincoln's.  Also 5+ indigo buntings, black-throated green, blackpoll, and both yellow and western palm warblers.

The dickcissel was with a large mixed group of sparrows and buntings between the corn field and the bushes behind Mansfield Supply (farm trail running from Lot W to the community gardens).  Most of the warblers were around the pond.
