Hi folks:
Just back from a soaking walk on the railroad path at McKinney Refuge in
Mixed flock of 100 + birds feeding on trail including:
3 Hermit Thrush
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Eastern Towhee
Field Sparrow
Swamp Sparrow
Savannah Sparrow
FOX SPARROW (first of season for me)
Song Sparrow
White-throated Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco
Possible others, too wet to see...
Also in flight over flooded marsh, Northern Harrier, 2 Belted Kingfishers,
many Great Egrets.
By the way, flushed a Clapper Rail in ditch along same walk this past
Thursday,Oct. 15th. Is that late for this species?
