10/20, Stratford yard/woods.powerline cut- After checking on the BTBlue, I continued on in to see what was about. At the very least there were about 100 Yellow-rumps everywhere, 3 total Hermit thrushes, 2 Carolina and one Winter Wren, 8 Phoebes, 1 Sapsucker, 3 RC Kinglets, 1 Blue-headed Vireo, 3 local Red-tails, 1 Sharpie hunting the cut, about 30 White-throats, 1 juvenile White-crown sparrow, 4 Chippers, 2 Juncos, and a Brown Creeper. On the powerline cut edge were 2 coyotes acting rather lazy. Feeding on some sun-drenched asters were 2 American Lady butterflies, and in the cut was an Eastern Comma. Though the highlight was a very large adult Box turtle. -Brian Webster-
