10/21 From Jan Collins: spent the whole day at Hammo and the HUDSONIAN
GODWIT, as Greg said yesterday, seemed to be glued to his patch of grass,
feeding everytime I went by for a look. Got to see him fly once from the
grass to the water to wash down his meal. Good looks at his markings. Had
2 NELSON'S SPARROWS in the tall grass beyond the Godwit. Life bird along
with the Godwit.
Also had 1 immature WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW at East Beach and enjoyed watching
the AMERICAN BITTERN catch fish in the pond past the Nature Center.
