10/26 New Haven, Lighthouse Point hawk watch - best bird was WESTERN KINGBIRD (with a tail) that put in a 2-3 minute appearance treetop-hopping its way through park.
c 100 diurnal raptors including one imm GOLDEN EAGLE, one imm N GOSHAWK, 2 Bald Eagles and one Peregrine Falcon; other species/numbers of note included a flock of 23 Brant, 2 Wood Ducks, 3 C. Loons, 500 Tree Swallows, 24 AMERICAN PIPITS, 1000 Am Robins, 7 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS, 2600 Red-winged Blackbirds, 350 House Finches, 14 PURPLE FINCHES.
