Observation date:     10/27/09
Notes:     I conducted a seawatch from the porch of the CT Audubon Society / Sporting Good Properties building, 10:50am - 11:50am and resumed 1:45-3:45pm. Weather: overcast, rain showers, 53 degrees F, East wind at 15-20, shifting to NE at 3pm, good visibility.  A large flock of ww and surf scoters remained offshore, with most migrant other waterfowl heading west; the gannets all headed east. Of particular note were 2 small shorebirds flying east (11:30) that were likely RED-NECKED PHALAROPES.
