[CT Birds] Id. of GYR on Long Island

Mark Szantyr called to alert me to the bird seen this past weekend on Long Island and there was some initial confusion whether it was or wasn't. Some NY birders are happy it is one and the link to photos below clearly show it's a juvenile Gyrfalcon.....aside from the debatable features, juv. Gyr's have blue feet and juv. Peregrines have yellow feet and barred, not streaked lateral tail coverts.

and it looks like a Gyr!!
