Southport Survey # 205
There was a lot of activity off shore this morning Lots of Long-
tailed Ducks and some Red-breasted Mergansers flying about and a red-
throated Loon flying by about every 5 min. Most of the scoters were
sitting in the area of sunken Island. There were also about 70 gulls
flying off shore to the west.
Most of the Ring-billed Gulls were out on the golf course. In the
harbor was the coot. It is only the second time seen on the route.
The channel marker had three Great Cormorants this time. Southport
Beach was uneventful.
