[CT Birds] IVORY GULL!!!!!!!!!!! and other Cape May Birds

This may be of interest to the list:

I was in Cape May this past weekend with James Orrico looking for the  
previously reported IVORY GULL.

The bird came very, very close giving killer looks! Simply amazing-a  
stunning bird!!!! When it opened its wing, its back looked like snow!

Lighthouse Pond:
3 Eurasian Wigeon
There was a great showing of waterfowl: Mallards, Gadwalls, Shovelers,  
American Wigeon, Ruddy Duck, Ring-necked Duck, and Pied-billed Grebe  
among others

Cape May Hawk Watch:
1 American Kestrel
4 Green-winged Teal
15 Black Skimmer

Across from the Beanery:
Cape May's Continuing SWAINSON'S HAWK
4 Black Vultures

1 American Bittern that gave incredible looks
Tons of beautiful Northern Pintail
15 Tundra Swans
Very Large Duck Numbers
1,000 + Snow Geese-It was actually INCREDIBLE how many geese there  
Very Large Numbers of Dunlin
5 Northern Harriers-All I had to do was look up and I'd usually see a  
harrier cruising the marsh, much different to what is going on with  
harriers here in CT
1 Peregrine Falcom

7 Harlequin Duck
10 Common Eider
A silly gull holding a seastar

2 Surf Scoter
Tons of Red-throated Loon
