Hi All,

Had a nice tour of the reservoirs around Easton, Redding and Weston. Ostensibly looking for ducks we seemed to do better with Raptors. Highlihgts were an adult Bald Eagle, an immature tundrius Peregrine Falcon and a late (date - not a euphemism for dead!) immature Osprey at Hemlock and Aspetuck Reservoirs. The Peregrine was interesting as it seemed to be practising taking runs at ducks on the water. The Osprey had a huge fish so is obviously eating OK but probably still wants to get a move on. Other highlights included Red-breasted Nuthatches on the Aspetuck and a Brown Creeper or two at Saugatuck Falls.
