12/31 - Westport

I decided to go back to BHB today at low tide to see if the Spotted Sandpiper might reappear. No luck with that, but,a nice mixed flock of Turnstones and Dunlin feeding very close at the water's edge, along with the Lesser Black-backed Gull made the trip worth it.

   Burying Hill Beach-(with Susan Thomsen)-60+ RUDDY TURNSTONES,25+ DUNLIN,1 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL continues

Compo Beach(looking west)-400+ LONG-TAILED DUCKS despite hunters and the awful sound of gunshots
