[CT Birds] Stratford birding

1/7  Stratford areas. 9:20AM-11:15AM
Got to Johnson's Creek (thanks to all for great directions)  at 9:20AM.  
Mark Szantyr was there from early morning he said.   No sign of the Western 
Willet   :(
Although there was a very clownish Kingfisher flitting around,  Hooded 
mergansers and Canadas.
Another birder(Brenda) showed up and I stayed til about  10AM....then went 
to Frash Pond, and Long Beach.
Got nice looks at Hoodies, Canvasbacks,  some  buffleheads. Missed the 
Lesser Scaup.  Saw the Orange Crowned Warbler and  Ipswich sparrow,
some Brants.  Met up with many other birders  on  this great winter birding 
day.
