I birded a few spots near the Thames River yesterday afternoon on my
way through the area. Things were slow.

Waterford, Pig Farm - possible hybrid first cycle gull

Waterford, Harkness SP - 20 Common Eider

Smith Cove - 20 Canvasbacks; zero gulls on the ice at 4:00pm. If
anyone notices the gull roost re-forming, please let me know.

Lastly, there has been some talk, due to poor weather in the UK, that
our chances of finding a European thrush might be elevated this
winter. Scour your local robin flocks over the next couple months in
search of Redwing, Fieldfare, and of course Varied Thrush or
Townsend's Solitaire. If you notice any particularly large robin
flocks on public land, feel free to post to CTBirds.
