Bill Asteriades just called to say that at 12 noon the Sandhill Crane is
still being seen. Thanks to Joanne Luppi for posting the sighting

Greg Hanisek just (8:08-8:12) called to report that he has the SANDHILL
CRANE reported yesterday from Durham. He found it in a field off
Johnson Ln about half a mile from the intersection with Maiden Ln. He
said it was pure luck that he happened to see it; the bird was up on a
rise of some sort but would disappear if it took a few steps in the
wrong direction. It was calling intermittently, loud enough that I
heard it over the phone.
As Greg described the area there are a lot of small fields with terrible
