2/3 - Madison - Hammonasset SP (8AM-11:45AM)
The light snow did not deter 15 participants from a lovely walk at Hammo yesterday.Neither did the late opening of the park at 9:10 due to plowing before allowing us to drive into the park.YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS were abundant as were AMERICAN ROBINS and CEDAR WAXWINGS.The highlight of the walk was seeing and hearing a PEREGRINE FALCON flying over the marsh with a MONK PARAKEET in it's talons.Total species seen was 43 .Many thanks to Janet Mehmel for leading the walk.
