I've gotten 65 species in Old Saybrook so far.(2-3 hours a day)
Otter Cove Area- A pair of highly agitated Pileated Woodpeckers- seemed to be mobbing a pair of Red-Tails.
A large group of female Red-Wing Blackbirds (40+), 3 Rusty Blackbirds, Ring-Necked Duck, 3 Towhee
Cornfield Point- All 3 Scoters,
Saybrook Point Lighthouse- 40 Dunlin, Ruddy Turnstone, Great Cormorant
Great Cedars- pair of Red Shouldered Hawks, Brown Creeper
Notable misses or near misses- no Goldfinch, 1 Great Cormorant (would have had 20+ in years past), 1 mockingbird, only a few loons around, and only 1 Horned Grebe. Blue Jays are definitely back.
