Brian Webster and I walked out Penfield Reef this morning, although we
could not reach the end because the water did not fully uncover the reef at low
 tide this morning.

Brant (15)
Greater Scaup (350) There may have been a few Lesser Scaup in this raft.
Distance made it impossible to tell for sure.
Long-tailed Duck (36)
Common Goldeneye (400)
Red-breasted Merganser (6)
Horned Grebe (42) A large number. They were all to the West side of the
reef. Surprisingly, we saw no loons.
Great Cormorant (3)
Sanderling (4) Shorebirds remain scarce here.

There were also 6 Harbor Seals hauled out on boulders.
