Much as I am aware it is very early for them, I had an excellent look at a
BROAD-WINGED HAWK at about 1:15 this afternoon on my way home from work.
The bird came up from the trees near the intersection of Ct rt 32 and Ct
rt 2A in Uncasville.
It seems I have been seeing quite a few hawks lately, mainly Red-tails and
Red-shoulders, but also several Coopers Hawks and a few Sharpies. Any
time I'm at the shore I can still turn up at least 1 or more N. Harriers.
