This afternoon, about 1:45PM, a large flock of birds flew past my window during a heavy downpour, and I tentatively identified them as Cedar Waxwings. About 4PM, while looking out of the same window, a flock of 175 Cedar Waxwings set down in the tree directly in front of me. They sat for about 5 minutes, and then left toward the Southwest, flying into the mist. This was the largest group of Waxwings I have seen in the past month.
