[CT Birds] flexible uper mandibles revisited

Last year when the Hudsonian Godwit visited at Hammo for a few  weeks I 
pointed out pictures where the bird's upper mandible clearly bent up  when it 
opened its mouth.   Several people on the list confirmed that  it was a trait 
known in several species.  Click on the 5th picture of  Neotropical 
cormorants at the link below, and you can add another species to the  list.
