Southport Survey # 228
The tide was low with Sunken Island completely exposed. The water was
calm and the sky clear. Off shore things were empty except for a few
Red-throated Loons. No Grebes, No Sea Ducks.

The Golf course was a buzz with people and machinery getting it
ready. On shore, most of the Gulls about were immature, and there
were a large numbered of first winter birds. Also, there was a large
number of Great Black-backed Gulls

Bonaparte’s Gull have been declining since Sunday.
