Late this morning, in just a little over 1 hour, more than 400
Double-crested Cormorants flew by Seaside Park in Bridgeport, heading East. There were
also more than 250 Brant remaining.
A little later, a group of 17 Glossy Ibis flew by Long Beach in Stratford,
heading East. The Glaucous Gull is still present at Long Beach as well.
Other gulls (Herring and Ring-billed) were present in very small numbers.
Waterfowl (other than the Brant at Seaside Park) were scarce, with just 23
Red-breasted Mergansers, 1 Long-tailed Duck and a couple of Common Loons
present off of Long Beach.
