[CT Birds] Likely OT: Hi-pitched nighttime single call--Bird, Toad or Frog?

Perhaps a little more detail on the call would help. 1 to 3 seconds is actually not a short call length. I agree it is not amphibian based on the timing. Is the call near the house or is it far enough away that you might not be hearing the entire call but rather just part of it? Is it a single note held the entire time or does it slide up or down the scale at all?
