Finally a productive banding session at Birdcraft! (314 Unquowa Road,
Fairfield). We banded 44 individuals and had 4 recaptures with a total of
20 species in all.

CANADA WARBLER 5
COMMON YELLOWTHROAT 4
BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER 3
BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER 3
NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH 4
OVENBIRD 1
AMERICAN REDSTART 5
MAGNOLIA WARBLER 2
WILSON'S WARBLER 1
NORTHERN PARULA 2
SWAMP SPARROW 1
BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE 1 (PLUS 1 RECAP)
VEERY 3
SWAINSON'S THRUSH 3
GRAY CATBIRD 5 (PLUS 1 RECAP)
WOOD THRUSH 1 (PLUS 1 RECAP)
DOWNY WOODPECKER 1
AMERICAN ROBIN 1
CAROLINA WREN 1 (RECAP)

Also heard in the sanctuary were EASTERN WOOD PEEWEE, RED-EYED VIREO AND
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER.

Of note, one of the Swainson's thrushes was partially leucistic, the downy
woodpecker had both a cloacal protuberance and a brood patch, indicative of
male sharing the brooding duties.
