While helping to lead an 8 mile Boy Scouts hike on the Westwoods Trails in Guilford the troop and I encountered the following birds of note;

Bald Eagle (Lost Lake - adult seen the week before as well)
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher (Just north of Lost Lake)
Purple Martins (at least two over Lost Lake)
Northern Parula
Blackpoll Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler (10 at least)
Indigo Bunting (Peddler Rd trailhead)

Additionally the Purple Martin colony in Preston on McClimon Road remains strong with at least 30 birds and probably more. The home-owner really knows his Martins.
