[CT Birds] Roseate, white waxwing

Madison, Hammonasset Beach State Park - 2 ROSEATE TERNS with 80 Common Terns flying east past Meigs Point platform over c 25 min. on feeding forays; a leucistic Cedar Waxwing in cedars around the blind at the Willards I. parking lot - almost all white. It had a yellow bill, dark eyes, a yellow tail tip and a few small dark makings in the folded wings. Waxwings everywhere in small numbers.
 
West Haven, Sandy Point - 3 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS w/ c. 30 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 2 Black-bellied Plovers and 2 Semipalmated Plovers plus the resident shorebirds (7 American Oystercatchers, 2 or 3 Piping Plovers and a Spotted Sandpiper).
 
Stratford, Stratford Point - singing ad. male ORCHARD ORIOLE in trees along street just outside the gate. One basic plumaged Common Loon near the Point.
