Jim Zipp sent me a couple of amazing photos, including another one of it
fighting the juvenile Peregrine Falcon, and Mark Szantyr sent me a
spectacular field sketch he made - check them out!
http://ctaudubon.blogspot.com/ thank you gentlemen! I posted some
information on the White-tailed Kite there as well.

Jim's photo is the best I have seen yet of the kite perched. It really stays
far from people while perched. That photo was from Short Beach when, for
once, it was in an exposed spot. I do not know the current location of the
White-tailed Kite. I am sure it headed back to Stratford Point sometime this
evening, as it has every single night so far, to grab a snack and go to bed.
Once again I advise all visitors to go to Stratford Point in the early
morning or evening. It is the best bet not only to see it but to get
mind-blowing good looks. If you come down and have the day to devote to it,
assuming it is here, 95% of the time you will leave very happy. Please
continue to give the kite space so it sticks around, and to obey the speed
limits and be respectful of the local neighborhoods. Thank you!
