The White-tailed Kite, via Frank Gallo via the banding crew at Milford
Point, was seen there this morning on its cedar trees for day 17. The
current location is unknown, which is not surprising. Stratford Point will
be open in the evening as usual for it to hopefully come back for its
nightly meal. You can see the kite (when it is there) in the cedars it
favors at Milford Point from the tower at the Coastal Center. Please use
this location when there. If you walk down Smith's Point be aware you must
stay in the high tide line as it is Fish & Wildlife property, and that this
often disturbs the kite. As always, Stratford Point, 1207 Prospect Drive,
has the best views...it is a drive up and look at the bird spot offering the
amazing photos you see me post and is the most reliable site at the same
time nearly every day.
