I have birded Keeney Park in Hartford recently. Heard lots of rough creeps there. They weren't sandpipers, I'll tell ya.

8/27 Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows  -  1  BAIRD'S SANDPIPER.
Bird flew in to the area of recently cut sod. As it circled the area, it's flight call was heard. I told Tom that this must be a Pectoral Sandpiper trying to land, but it was the Baird's. Sibley's Guide mentions the Baird's Sandpiper flight call as a rough kreep; reminiscent of a Pectoral Sandpiper.
