[CT Birds] For What It's Worth

Our oaks have been dropping acorns like crazy. The good news is that the acorns are abundant; the bad news is that they're dropping way too early, because of the drought, and are raw, not matured. No idea what impact under-ripened acorns will have on the wildlife population this Winter.

our White Oak seems to be 'dropping' a lot more acorns this year than it has in the past - in case anyone says it has reached maturity, the tree is 16.5 feet in circumference at 4.6 feet above the ground.
