[CT Birds] CACC Banding in Milford Tuesday

9/21- Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, Milford 
A busy day, and our best day of the fall so far,  with 47 birds banded - 
highlights were Indigo Bunting, Swainson's Thrush, and  Ruby and Golden 
Crowned Kinglets. 
Not banded, but present at the Coastal Center was  a Northern Harrier, a 
Cooper's Hawk, and a surprise visit from an American  Kestrel who chased a 
warbler for quite some time before it captured  it, landing in a nearby tree to 
eat it.  A red fox and a  raccoon were also seen. 
Birds Banded  – 47 birds, 17 species 
Common Yellowthroats,  10 
Eastern Phoebes,  1 
Black and White  Warbler, 1 
Black-Capped  Chickadees, 2 
Ruby Crowned Kinglets,  2 
Myrtle Warbler,  1 
American Redstarts,  6 
House Wren,  1 
Golden Crowned  Kinglet, 1 
Indigo Bunting,  1 
Ovenbird,  1 
Red Eyed Vireo,  2 
Gray Catbird,  5 
Red Winged  Blackbird, 9 
Swainson's  Thrush 
Northern  Cardinal, 1 
American Robin,  1
