Hiked Cannon Mt and Mount Garfield in NH this weekend. Still lots of birds
about up there. Camped at 4,000 ft on Garfield last night and heard a
Bicknell's Thrush calling in the woods at dawn today as well as heard two
Gray-cheeked fly overs during the night. Also saw a few catharus thrushes at
mid elevation but no bins with me and no vocalizations. Very drab birds in
the darkness, either Bicknell's/Gray-cheeked, or Swainson's. Still a lot of
Blackpolls (all have moved to low elevation now), B-t Blue Warblers, and
others around as well. Many Golden-crowned Kinglets and a number of
Ruby-crowned as well at high elevations on Garfield.
