>From Hank Golet, Old Lyme, Buttonball Rd, Gravel Pit pond 4 PECTORAL SANDPIPER

Pond is located across from and a little south of the Black Hall Golf Course. The water level is low enough so that a couple of islands are exposed out in the pond and some shore birds come there to roost when the tide is high in the Ct River. There were also 22 Greater Yellow Legs, 4 Dowitcher species (all looked like Short -Billed), 1 Spotted SP and a Pied-Billed Grebe. It is a Spotting Scope location.
