[CT Birds] Milford Pt Horned Larks, Peregrines

28 September 10, Milford Point, near high tide on Piping Plover bar, 2 Horned 
Larks; on nearby sandbar: 3 Peregrine Falcons sitting together (1 adult, 2 
juv).  At one time all three hunting shorebirds together, adult chasing a pair 
of American Oystercatchers (did not catch).  Also zooming through, 1 
Merlin. Present as prey were about 150 Black-bellied Plovers, 75 Sanderling, 6 
Dunlin, 25 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 8 SB Dowitchers, 4 Semipalmated Plover, 6 
Willets, 6 American Oystercatchers, 2 Ruddy Turnstones.  In addition, large 
movements of DC Cormorants: one string of 120.  Large congregated packs of 
Cormorants on remaining bits of sandbar.
