[CT Birds] Blue Jay Behavior

Absolutely... I have been listening to those little buggers do that for
many years. I can usually tell if it's a blue jay rather than a hawk now,
too. I guess after all these years, I can hear something different in the
song, but I'm not sure exactly what it is. I just know. LOL

Subject: [CT Birds] Blue Jay Behavior

Wondering if anyone else has experienced, as I have, Blue Jays mimicking
sounds.  Today I had a thought about this as again I thought I heard a hawk
my front yard and it was a Blue Jay, who went to the feeder.  Perhaps there
is a
method to the madness of the Blue Jay(s) in that if they call like a hawk,
other feeder birds will disperse and the BJ has the feeder to itself.
